Hope everything is going well for you people. The end of summer draws near for me and I suspect a lot of you have already fallen victim to school and I hope you're all managing your work and things. Anyways, just some update stuff today.
First of all, I just started an actual art blog on tumblr and if you're interested in following me there it's roocharfferarts.tumblr.com/ I tend to post more sketches on tumblr than I do here (and if you're a new follower or something my main blog for reblogging stuff and whatever is roocharffer.tumblr.com/ )
Other than that I've been sewing a bit lately (and thus not doing much drawing). I got a new sewing machine (because my old one seemed to hate me with a fiery passion) and have been trying to make use of it. I made two more felt wallets and will hopefully get some images of them up today. I also made a skirt which I could theoretically wear out in public without getting totally laughed at. I've never actually made clothing before and the zipper is a bit off but it doesn't make for a bad first attempt. My next goal is cosplay related haha. I want to try cosplaying as Emmy from Professor Layton because we have similar hair and Emmy is the coolest. I need to make her yelllow dress/coat thing though. I've found a pattern that mostly works and hopefully I can manage with it. I'm worried about getting it to fit well because I'm so inexperienced but I'm gonna give it my best. My previous cosplay attempts were much simpler than this ahhhhh!
I also want to say thanks to you guys! I've got just over 450 watchers now and upwards of 25,000 pageviews and I think that's pretty cool for this particular amateur artist on the internet. I wish you all the best and I'll try and get some stuff posted soon. Have a great day/night!
- Mood: Nervous
- Listening to: Curious Village Soundtrack
- Reading: Mostly Harmless
- Watching: Buffy
- Playing: Tomb Raider (woops gotta finish)
There is so much more art on there. Why have you been hiding all of these things from the other places where you normally put those things? They must go everywhere. Manifest Destiny! Baruk Khaz‚d! And so forth...
i tend to not post sketch things here (or if i do they go into my scraps) because... because.
Oh god yes! You'd make a perfect Emmy
Thanks! I haven't actually seen many Emmy cosplayers and the costume is relatively simple so it's a bit less intimidating haha
That's true, I mostly only see Layton and Luke cosplay
I rarely even see Layton but Luke seems to be fairly popular. I guess maybe his clothing is easier to get ahold of
I think all of their clothing is fairly easy to get/make, since they are wearing pretty normal clothes. Cosplaying Hershel Layton is something I really want to do in the future
